Cultural Council Of Greater Jacksonville Giving $2,500 Grants To 6 Local Organizations-WJCT4/21/2020 The Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville will be giving $2,500 grants to six local organizations.
The board voted virtually on Thursday to approve the Cultural Service Program Grants for AVANT, the Jacksonville Arts and Music School, Riverside Avondale Preservation, the San Marco Chamber Music Society, and two theater companies: Stage Aurora and The 5 & Dime.But that left a good chunk of money available for other cultural organizations. One segment of the economy that’s been hit hard by the coronavirus crisis is the arts. Joy Young, CEO of the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville, appeared on Tuesday’s First Coast Connect with Melissa Ross.
