LEAP is four days of activities celebrating the producers and partakers of arts and culture in Jacksonville. Starting September 4 through September 7, join in the LEAP!

Funds raised from LEAP allow the Cultural Council to provide mission-driven programs for artists, youth, and arts and cultural organizations.

2019 State of the Arts - September 4
State of the Arts: Creative Jacksonville is presented by PNC Bank. This event will offer a national, regional, and local update on arts and cultural trends, as well as provide unique insights on role of creativity for transformational change. Speakers will include: Al Letson,  Jacksonville native, public radio host of Reveal from the Center for Investigative Reporting and PRX; Dr. Diana Greene, Superintendent of Duval County Schools; and Latise Hairston Ph.D. along with Katie Tagye, Creative Problem Solving Experts.

Time:    9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.


Public Art Tours - September 5, 6 & September 7
Enjoy free public art tours in and around the urban core. Self-guided, guided tours, and customized tours will highlight both private and public art installations from murals and mosaics to historic memorials. These tours will provide an opportunity to engage with public art fabricated by artists in a variety of visual art media. Stay tuned for more!

Arts Awareness Day - September 6
Jacksonville is home to a vibrant arts and cultural scene. The Cultural Council will honor all of the City’s arts producers and cultural products in recognition of the beauty and bounty they bring to Jacksonville. Our day-long digital initiative will highlight the entire sector through a variety of media. In response, the community is encouraged to share their stories of arts and culture using the hashtag #LeapForArts. Organizations can click here to learn more and add your #LeapForArts event.

43rd Annual Arts Awards - September 7
Celebrate the creativity in Jacksonville by recognizing the individuals who work to strengthen it at this “creative” black tie gala. Arts Award honorees will be announced during this inspired awards ceremony and annual fundraiser. The event will feature visual art and captivating entertainment; delicious food, drinks, and desserts. End the night with a LEAP-pARTy.
