The Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville is hiring for the position of Public Art Director.
Our current director, Jen Jones Murray, is transitioning in her existing contract role with the Jacksonville Aviation Authority to manage full time their Arts & Culture Program and public art expansion for the new Concourse B, while also providing succession training to our incoming director and staying on with our organization as our Corporate Art Project Manager in a contracted role. She will continue to support our organization in her current role until it is filled.
The Public Art Director role is being streamlined and will now allow a public arts professional to enjoy sole dedication to the planning, allocation, and execution of our county’s Percent for Art Program -- in the largest city by area in the United States and one that has grown in population by approximately 15% in the last decade.
This is an exciting role in a dynamic organization - which seeks a collaborative, organized, highly-effective communicator to join our upbeat and productive team.
