Arts For Learning: Tools For Teaching Summer Institute
June 15 – 19, 2009
The institute is presented by The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Fine Art Center at the University of North Florida, and Duval County Public Schools, with additional support provided by the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville.
Arts For Learning is a week-long series of interactive workshops designed to help teachers integrate the use of the arts in all aspects of teaching, including science, language arts and social studies. Teachers will gain a new understanding of how the arts can reach visual, aural and kinesthetic learners, and make learning fun and meaningful for both students and teachers.
