The City of Norfolk, Virginia is excited to announc two design projects for Town Point Park , the City’s seven-acre Festival Park at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay on the water’s edge of the Elizabeth River: a water feature and a perimeter for the park. Nebraska Arts Council

The Nebraska One Percent for Art Program is seeking artists or artist teams for a project at the University of Nebraska at Kearney Bruner Hall of Science Phase II Renovation and Addition, and consists of primary and optional secondary location for art. The primary site is on an exterior brick wall with an option area for artwork within a three panel window overlooking an entrance. The budget is $98,000. Deadline: August 15, 2008. Oklahoma Art in Public Places

City of Palm Desert

The City of Palm Desert’s Art in Public Places Commission is developing a pool of artists for a project titled, “Embracing the Desert Light” and other potential projects that utilize light as a primary medium. Qualified artists should have experience in creating artworks that incorporate natural light during daylight hours and subdued artificial or reflected light at night.
